1st Outlook Scouts Scout Newsletter 26 SEP 05 Youth involvement is not part of the program. . . . it IS the program! Welcome back to a new and exciting scouting year. We hope to have an active year with lots of outings, camps, tours and fun! Some of the activities that we are
planning throughout the year are skiing, skating, swimming/wave pool, ice fishing, a movie night, another stay at the Lighthouse and much more! We have a fall camp this weekend at Coldwell Rec. Area. We are attending a scout camp nearFt.Qu’Appelle in October and a winter camp at GoodSpiritLake in February. If there is enough interest to get a team organized, we will also be attending the Klondike Hike in Regina in February. Also, all scouts will be racing
their Big Rigs in Outlook, the area rally (location to be announced), and in Regina in April at the Provincial Big Rig Rally. Our meetings start at 7:00 each Monday at the Outlook Royal Canadian Legion Hall. Scouts should come in full uniform for opening and closing (Uniforms can be removed and the scout T-shirt worn for the meeting itself). Scouts should also bring their Scout Book and a small binder or duo tang to each meeting, for handouts and newsletters. Dues are
$1.00 per scout per week. If you are unable to bring dues, you may catch-up at the next scout meeting. There will be approximately 26 meetings this year; $25 for dues can be paid in advance if preferred. Attached is a Behaviour Contract that we would like you to review and have signed by Scouts, parent/guardians, and leaders. If you are going to attend the fall camp, please ensure that you have filled out and returned the
Parent/Guardian Consent Form that you received with your registration forms. Also attached to this newsletter is information on Arrowhead Camp, the first provincial scout camp that our group will be attending. Please let Larry or Sandy know by Wednesday September 28 if you will be attending. Newsletters will be handed out at meetings, but will also be placed on the website for your convenience. Please feel free to check out our own website, as well as the
Saskatchewan Provincial site for upcoming activities and news. 1st Outlook Scouts Website: Saskatchewan Provincial Council Website: http://www.outlookscouts.com http://www.skscouts.ca Feel free to contact Larry or Sandy by email
