March 7, 2005 Dear Scouts and Parents: This letter will serve to outline our scout meetings and activities for the month of March. We would like to
thank everyone who contributed to our scout supper on Monday, February 21. The supper was a success and we hope to continue it in future years. Our first meeting of March tonite will be spent completing our Scoutruks (or coming as close as we can). Scouts who do not finish will have to complete them at home. Our local KubKar Rally will take place on Sunday, March 13 at 1:00 p.m. at the Outlook Elementary School gym. Parents and family are invited to attend.
Weather permitting, we are planning on going ice fishing with the other Scout Sections on Saturday, March 12 at 1:00 p.m. We will meet at the D & E Convenience Store and proceed from there to Broderick Reservoir. Scouts should dress for the weather and bring some fishing equipment. Hot chocolate and snacks will be provided. There will not be a regular scout meeting on Monday., March 14 due to our activities the previous weekend. On Saturday, March 19, we are
planning a ski trip to Table Mountain, again weather permitting. We are inviting the other sections along also. The cost of the package, which includes equipment rental and lift tickets, is $26.00 for youth aged 7-15 and $31.00 for anyone 16 and older. The ski hill hours are from 10:00 to 4:30 pm. We plan on leaving from Outlook (D & E Convenience Store) around 7:30 am to get in a full day of skiing. The Scout section will have their dues paid as part of our
fundraising activities. Everyone will be on their own for lunch and supper that day. There is a food booth at the ski hill and we will likely grab supper in North Battleford on the way back. There will not be a regular scout meetings on Monday, March 21 due to our ski trip and on Monday., March 28 due to the school break. Our regular meetings will resume again on Monday., April 4.
