Mon., Jan. 24, 2005 Hi Scouts and parents: Happy New
Year everyone. We now have a group of 18 scouts with the addition of Samantha and Simone Murphy and Nicole Tomecek. Welcome to our growing group. We have some fun and exciting projects and trips planned over the next month or so. Tonight, we will start on our Scoutruks. We will be spending several meeting nights working on them. After these nights, they will have to be completed and painted at home. We have a great trip
planned to the Regina Science Centre and Museum of Natural History on the weekend of Jan. 29-30. Information has been sent home on this already. The IMAX movie will be "Adrenalin Rush" which features the sport of sky diving. There will not be a regular scout meeting on Mon., Jan. 31 due to our Regina trip. On Mon., Feb. 7, we will again be working on our Scoutruks.
There will be no regular scout meeting on Mon., Feb. 14 due to the school break. We are planning a Scout family supper for Mon., Feb. 21 at 6:30 p.m. at the Legion hall. Scouts will be asked to plan a menu and prepare the food items themselves. We will be having a special Scouts Canada speaker coming from Saskatoon for the evening, Mrs. Jackie Keesey. We will be sending more information home on the supper in the next few weeks. On
Fri., Feb. 25 at 7:00 p.m., we are invited to a special Scouts Saskatoon Blades Hockey game. They are in action against the Prince Albert Raiders at Saskatoon Credit Union Centre. There will be skating with the Blades after (helmets must be worn) as well as a movie, sleepover and pancake breakfast the next morning. We have attached a form which must be completed by each Scout and returned with the ticket money to Scout Leader Gary Provencher by Mon., Feb. 7.
There will not be a regular Scout meeting on Mon., Feb. 28 due to our Scout trip to Saskatoon. If anyone has any questions about any of this, please call a Scout Leader:
