Dear Scouts and Parents: Last year, we undertook some fundraising activities with the goal in mind of attending the 1st Scout Brotherhood Jamboree to be held at Camp Impeesa, a scout camp at the base of the Rocky Mountains in Alberta, from July 17-23, 2005. The Jamboree is designed to celebrate the 100th birthday of the Provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan. The cost per participant is $325.00 which we hope to raise the bulk of through our fundraising efforts. To date, we have raised approximately $3000.00. The time has come for us to get a commitment from each scout that would like to attend this jamboree.
We must submit a registration form and down payment of $100.00/scout by December 31, 2004. We would ask that each scout discuss the trip with their parents and let Scout Leader Gary Provencher know by November 30 if they would like to attend the jamboree. We will require a down payment of $50.00 from each scout that plans on attending as a sign of commitment. This may be returned to the scout if we reach our fundraising goals. A jamboree of this size is a
once-in-a-scouting lifetime opportunity. We have attached the home page of the jamboree so scouts may look on the internet to see to see what the jamboree is all about.
